On November 6, Operation Kindness put on their 29th annual gala and auction.
The event kicked off at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, where guests participated in dining, dancing, and benefits for the animals. Guests had the option to either participate virtually or to attend the event in person.
Overall, 540 people participated at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas. There was a live auction, drinks, and live music by the Emerald City Band.
Operation Kindness was founded in 1976 and pioneered providing animals assistance, medical care, companionship, and a home in North Texas.
Operation Kindness also offers extensive medical care for homeless animals, a foster program, a pet food pantry, a surrender prevention program, education for pet parents, and volunteer opportunities.
“It’s been a while since we’ve gathered in person to celebrate animal wellness as a community. Our excitement will certainly be reflected at the Canines, Cats, and Cabernet Gala by giving our supporters a wonderful night of comradery,” said Ed Jamison before the gala. Jamison is the chief executive officer at Operation Kindness.
The event’s purpose was to continue raising funds to build community relationships and provide dogs and cats with the love and kindness they needed until adoption. It’s a celebration of the community and its support of Operation Kindness’ initiatives to address pet homelessness.
Operation Kindness’ mission is to make a positive impact in the lives of others, which is why they were thrilled to host this gala in honor of the community efforts and generosity.
Through the community’s donations, Operation Kindness raised $800,000 to support its lifesaving work with homeless pets. These donations will go toward expanding investments into medical teams and provide even more opportunities for dogs and cats to receive care while they’re awaiting adoption.
Happily, six pets were adopted from the adoption lounge at the gala and put into loving homes.
