Shipley Do-Nuts is expanding to open 25 new additional locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area next year.

As fans of Shipley Do-Nuts know, the business has been around since 1936 and serves its donuts warm all day. This appears to be part of their success along with an array of donuts to choose from. From traditional glazed donuts to donuts drizzled with cherry, chocolate, and strawberry. Shipley’s also offers donuts rolled in coconut, sugar, cinnamon, and walnuts. They also serve coffee, rolls, and kolaches.

The shop, created by Lawrence Shipley, Sr, has a loyal fanbase with generations of families who still visit Shipley’s today. Now the well-known donut brand has teamed up with HPL Capital LLC to expand its reach throughout the state.

“We bring decades of Dallas-Fort Worth experience and a community-oriented business strategy to the Shipley system and look forward to being an integral part of the brand’s growth,” said Michael Poates, CEO of HPL Capital. “We collectively believe in the Shipley franchise model and its beloved reputation.”

Together they plan to bring Shipley Do-Nuts to locations across North Texas that includes donut shops in Coppell, Prosper, Roanoke, Denton, Garland, Irving, Las Colinas, Lewisville, McKinney, Rockwall, and Rowlett.

“With this multi-unit signing, the Dallas-Fort Worth market is officially sold out, which is a tremendous milestone for the brand,” Shipley Do-Nuts CEO Clifton Rutledge shared with in Forney.

Rutledge added, “As we look forward to growing our footprint throughout 2022, we hope to add experienced multi-unit operators in new and existing markets, just like we did with HPL Capital in Dallas-Fort Worth.”

Currently, Shipley Do-Nuts has more than 20 locations throughout the state with the majority in the Houston area.
