Greta Van Susteren, widely recognized as the longest-running cable news anchor in the United States and best known for her former program “On the Record,” which aired on Fox News, recently posted on X something that Biden was holding close to his vest.

However reserved Biden may have intended to be (or not be), what he was carrying did not remain quiet for long.

Biden had made a surprise appearance on Black Friday at Nantucket Bookworks, where he was seen purchasing “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine” by Rashid Khalidi, reported the New York Post.

The book’s summary notes that “In 1899, Yusuf Diya al-Khalidi, mayor of Jerusalem, alarmed by the Zionist call to create a Jewish national home in Palestine, wrote a letter aimed at Theodore Herzl: the country had an indigenous people who would not easily accept their own displacement. He warned of the perils ahead, ending his note, ‘in the name of God, let Palestine be left alone.’ Thus Rashid Khalidi, al-Khalidi’s great-great-nephew, begins this sweeping history, the first general account of the conflict told from an explicitly Palestinian perspective.”

Several commented on Susteren’s post, with one stating: “You’re assuming that man is actually making the decisions right now… Somebody handed him that book, and he has zero clue what he’s holding in his hand.”

“Oops is that his antisemitism showing?” responded another commenter.

Others brought in the Democratic Party, specifically former President Barack Obama.

“Barack infiltrated an easy mark but Joe was more than willing. Perversions seek each other,” posted commenter Christopher Colombo.

“Obama’s optics,” responded commenter Xavier Roder.

Not everyone was ruffled by Biden’s purchase of the book.

“God forbid anyone read a book. It’s possible to read material with an opposing view, but that doesn’t mean they support said view,” commented Silvio Dante.

Still, others responded to Susteren’s post and offered more insight.

“If he’d been smart, he’d have read that book on October 8, 2023 and used his knowledge to help Israel. Knowing your enemy and what makes them tick gives great insight into how to counter them, and what issues you may agree upon. Day late and a dollar short 😑 how many have died? How many have been subjected to horrific conditions due to his poor leadership? … A disaster is Biden’s legacy,” X user Catarina Van Beest added.
