A third-party logistics company based in Dallas has acquired a freight brokerage division from Pennsylvania-based Jillamy.

MODE Global announced the acquisition of Jillamy, an independent agent of MODE Transportation, in a press release on November 4.

The deal will enable MODE Global to integrate Jillamy’s freight brokerage services directly into its operations while Jillamy will continue to run its warehousing, packaging, and fulfillment services independently.

“We are thrilled to integrate even further with MODE Global, a company that shares our commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions. This acquisition marks an exciting new chapter for Jillamy,” said Chris Kiefer, Jillamy’s co-owner.

MODE Global will welcome 200 new employees as part of the acquisition and add facilities in multiple new locations, including Texas.

“We are excited to welcome the Jillamy freight team into the MODE Global family. … This acquisition represents a significant step forward in our growth strategy and aligns perfectly with MODE’s strategic vision to expand our footprint, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the logistics industry. Joining forces with Jillamy enhances our service portfolio and provides our clients with more comprehensive and efficient logistics solutions,” said President and CEO of MODE Global Lance Malesh.

Dallas-Fort Worth’s proximity to other major metro areas around the country makes it ideal for logistics-oriented businesses.

According to the press release about the recent deal, MODE Global is the eighth-largest truckload freight brokerage and the largest non-asset intermodal provider in the country. The company serves over 10,000 customers worldwide and has relationships with more than 100,000 carriers and agents in 230 locations across North America.
