A bar in Dallas has been ranked as one of the best spots in the country to enjoy champagne.
The Bureau du Champagne USA has named Coupes one of the top 10 champagne bars in the United States, just in time for Global Champagne Day 2024, which falls on October 25 this year.
“Here we raise a glass to every lover, friend, and intriguing stranger that waltzes through our doors. We set the table for others to toast their successes, let loose with their meilleurs amis, and encourage new ideas to bubble to the surface,” reads a description of Coupes on its website.
Other locations on the top 10 list include Be Bubbly in Napa, California; Boiler Room in Omaha, Nebraska; and La Vie in Waikiki, Hawaii.
“We received nominations for spectacular bars and restaurants across the country, and selected from them a list of destinations that embody the spirit of Champagne. … While these restaurants and bars differ in style, spanning the spectrum from fine dining to fried chicken, they all have one thing in common: they understand what makes Champagne special. For that, we couldn’t be prouder to raise a glass to them on Champagne Day and the rest of the year,” Lori Russo, Director of the Bureau du Champagne, USA, said in a release.
Coupes opened in the Oak Lawn neighborhood of Dallas in 2022. It is the only bar in Texas to make the cut this year.
Coupes co-owner Eric Chiappinelli says the Bureau du Champagne is the “real deal,” pointing to its work helping not just to regulate but to promote the champagne industry.
To celebrate its inclusion on the list, Coupes is offering specials on champagne and live music on Saturday, October 26.
Reservations for Coupes, located at 4234 Oak Lawn Avenue, can be made on its website. The bar is open Wednesday and Thursday from 4 to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 4 to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
