The Dallas Mavericks announced Monday that the organization has launched MavsTV, a new streaming platform, for more than 70 of the team’s games during the 2024-25 season.

The organization detailed the new streaming service in a press release which stated that MavsTV would “carry over 70 games not exclusively televised nationally directly to fans within the team’s local broadcast footprint, for free over-the-air on WFAA Ch. 8 and KFAA Ch. 29.”

Beginning with the Mavericks’ second game of the season against the Phoenix Suns on Oct. 26, fans located in Texas and parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma will be able to stream the games for a fee.

Those who wish to watch games that are not televised will be able to pay a monthly fee of $14.99, or a season-long fee of $124.99, with the organization also offering for a limited time “either a pair of tickets to an upcoming Mavs game or a $75 Mavs merchandise gift card, as a complimentary gift” for those who sign up, according to the Mavericks press release.

A MavsTV smartphone app will be launched later in the season and include game coverage, exclusive footage, and original on-demand content, according to the press release.

“We have been waiting for this moment for a long time,” said Mavericks CEO Cynt Marshall in the release. “We are thrilled to offer multiple options for our fans who deserve seamless, enjoyable viewing experiences.”

The Mavericks’ streaming announcement comes shortly after the organization announced its mutual separation from Bally Sports Southwest, largely due to the ongoing bankruptcy concerns, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

The Mavericks are not the first major sports franchise from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to announce a new streaming platform.

The Dallas Stars previously announced the launch of the VICTORY+ Sports Network, which will provide free access to every game of the 2024 NHL season to any fans in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
