The ultra-popular minimalist apparel company Uniqlo has arrived in Dallas with the opening of its newest location.

The Japan-based clothing chain is now located in Galleria Dallas, and two additional spots in the City at the Parks Mall at Arlington and Stonebriar Center are slated to open on October 25.

“Born in Japan, UNIQLO offers high-quality clothing designed for everyday life, known as LifeWear. With locations opening in Dallas and Houston, we can’t wait to open our doors to the rest of this great state,” reads a statement on the company’s website.

Uniqlo is owned by Fast Retailing, its parent company. Earlier this month, the company reported record earnings for the third straight year, with Uniqlo seeing a 19% jump in revenue in its international markets.

The brand is known for its simple and basic garments. While many competitors, like Zara and H&M, have high turnover and stock the latest fast-fashion pieces, Uniqlo tends to maintain the same items for longer.

The new Galleria Dallas location will offer curious shoppers 20,000 square feet of space to explore.

Women’s and children’s clothing will be on the first floor, and the Japanese bookstore Kinokuniya is located near the stairs. Men’s clothing can be found on the second, smaller floor.

The Uniqlo’s in the Lone Star State will differ slightly from those found elsewhere. The company will include a Texas tilt, like an apparel display featuring local artists and businesses.

Shoppers at Uniqlo will also be able to experience state-of-the-art checkout. Items can be placed inside a bin that automatically tallies the total price. Payment can then be completed on a nearby digital screen.

“Dallas is such a vibrant, growing city, and we’ve seen strong demand from Texas-based customers through our online store. Opening a physical store at Galleria Dallas gives us the chance to bring our full range of LifeWear directly to our Dallas customers. We believe the versatility, simplicity, and high quality of our products will resonate well with the local community,” the head of marketing for Uniqlo North America, Nico Cessot, told the Dallas Morning News via email.

Cessot expects shoppers in Dallas to purchase many of the same items they are already buying online, like the Pufftech Parka. He also expects everyday essentials, like t-shirts and jeans, to do well among consumers in the City.
