North Texans who support former President Donald Trump will have an opportunity to show it off this weekend.
“Join us Saturday – Tom Bean and Whitewright CITIZENS together with the Texoma Patriots present our 2nd Trump Tractor Parade 2024 [bolding in original],” a digital flyer from the Texoma Patriots recently stated.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. at Tom Bean High School parking lot at 7719 State Highway 11 in Tom Bean.
“Join the parade in your tractor, pick-up, jeep, motorcycle, car or antique car, your horse or anything else – all entries are welcome to be part of the parade,” the flyer says, “The route for the parade will go from Tom Bean to Whitewright and back. The lead tractor should pull out around 11 a.m. Residents are invited to come out and greet the parade as it passes by.”
It also teases that a number of high-profile Texans could be there, including state Rep. Reggie Smith (District 62), Republican nominee for House District 62 Shelley Luther, Texas Senate District 30 candidate Brent Hagebuch, and local mayors.
Lots of memorabilia will be for sale, the group says. However, it adds “you may need to purchase flag pole kits from Lowe’s or Home Depot in advance.”
The note concludes with a reminder to vote. The general election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Early voting starts on Monday, Oct. 21.
Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will show down on the Texas presidential ballot while Texas also choose their next senator which will either be incumbent Republican Ted Cruz or Democrat Congressman Colin Allred.
