On Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris made her way to the border, which many see as her final attempt to address her most vulnerable political weakness.
Harris visited the Arizona section of the U.S.-Mexico border and spoke at Cochise College’s Douglas campus. There she highlighted her tenure as California attorney general, per The Washington Post, where she allegedly prosecuted transnational gangs and criminal organizations that smuggled drugs, humans, and firearms across the border.
Before Harris arrived in Arizona, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick was interviewed on September 24 on The Ingraham Angle. Fox News host Laura Ingraham relayed that Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign advisor stated, “Her positions have been shaped by three years of effective governance as part of the Biden-Harris administration.”
To this, Patrick responded, “If their goal was to have terrorists and criminals and just millions of people coming into our country illegally and giving them a pass and not knowing where they’re going or who they are or what crimes they’re committing, then they’ve been very effective – because they are undermining our country.”
Harris’s border visit on September 27 was the first in over three years, despite the record-breaking illegal immigration under the Biden-Harris administration. Many believe that this visit is too little, too late.
“Vice President Kamala Harris’s border trip is four years too late, and the American people can see right through her attempt to fool them and escape culpability for her historic border crisis,” posted U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas) on X.
Former President Donald Trump recently said that “when Kamala speaks about the border, her credibility is less than zero,” per Fox 10 Phoenix.
Rep. Tony Gonzales also posted on September 27, on X, that over 662,000 illegal aliens with a “criminal history, have been released in our communities” as of data from July 21, 2024. Of these, “13,099 [are ]criminally convicted MURDERS!” Additionally, Gonzales posted data from Patrick Lechleitner, ICE deputy director, via Fox News, that 15,811 illegal aliens have been convicted of rape and sexual assault.
The Border Patrol Union – NBPC noted Harris’s recent speech in Douglas, Arizona, that “… VP Harris claimed that she played a role in increasing Border Patrol Agent overtime pay. This couldn’t be further from the truth. As with all things border related she was no where to be found when we needed her.”
“We have apprehended over 8 million illegal immigrants over the last 4 years and now you realize we need more help 38 days before the election,” added the Border Patrol Union. “But again, where has she been the last 3 1/2 years?”
The recording of Harris’s speech in Arizona that the Border Patrol Union is referring to is posted on the Harris-Walz Facebook page. In her remarks, Harris states, “So, I’ve just come from visiting the border in the port of entry in Douglas … The American people deserve a President who cares more about border security than playing political games.”
And yet, many wonder what game Harris is playing by waiting this long to show up at the border.
“It is downright hypocritical that almost four years into the Biden-Harris administration and weeks before the election, ‘Border Czar’ Kamala Harris now decides to visit the border for only the second time to claim she cares when it’s her own policies that have done so much damage to these communities and our nation,” Cornyn added in a September 27 press release.
Part of the damage is coming to the unaccounted children who have illegally crossed the border.
“We have about 300,000 children who have come here illegally, and Kamala Harris does not know where they are,” said Patrick on The Ingraham Angle. “We can tell you where we sadly think many of them are, and that is they are being forced to have sex five, six, seven times a day … because they are put into the sex trade industry.”
“How can you possibly allow hundreds of thousands of children to cross the border and lose track of them … Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are responsible for a sex child trade in this country,” added Patrick.
