The American Jewish Conservatives held a launch party and gala that saw hundreds of attendees show up Wednesday evening.

The event had special guests, including Dallas County Republican Party chair Lt. Col. Allen West, Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne (R-TX), Sen. Bob Hall (R-Edgewood), and former state senator Don Huffines, among many others.

Most of the speakers talked about the importance of maintaining close ties with the state of Israel, as well as the challenges being faced in both Israel and the United States.

“An inaugural event for an organization without a doubt is needed at this time in the United States of America, the American Jewish Conservatives,” West told the crowd.

“Every single one of these flags on this stage represents a fighting spirit,” West said, referencing the Israeli, American, and Texas flags on display.

“Today is just the beginning; with God’s help, our partnership will continue to grow, continue to inspire, and continue to stand strong and make America exceptional,” president and founder of AJC Benji Gershon said.

Cruz, during his remarks, mentioned how many of today’s youth in America’s universities are being “radicalized.”

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Texas state troopers and Austin police shut down an anti-Israel protest held on campus at the University of Texas at Austin that resulted in over a dozen arrests.

“The Biden-Harris administration has proven to be the most anti-Israel administration in the history of this nation,” Cruz said.

“We’ve all seen the horrifying rise of the Squad, of the crazy antisemitic cooks on the far-left of the Democratic Party in the House. And the Squad are nuts. But they are not the real problem. Everyone knows who they are. It’s not complicated. They are hateful and radical bigots. There’s a broader problem, which is the leadership of the Democrat Party, the so-called mainstream Democrats are listening to the radicals,” he said.

Cruz noted that today was better than any to take a stand.

“And it’s an opportunity for everyone to decide: Where do you stand? Who are you?” Cruz told the crowd.

The event was held at the Frontiers of Flight Museum on Lemmon Avenue.
