Keep Tarrant Red PAC held a fundraiser with several Tarrant County leaders and political candidates this past Thursday.

“More than ever before, deep-pocketed, liberal Democrats from California and New York are targeting Tarrant County. These progressive liberals know if they can flip Tarrant County, they will be one step away from turning the Lone Star State blue. If Texas turns blue, it will be mathematically impossible for Republicans to win the White House again,” the Keep Tarrant Red PAC website states.

“Keep Tarrant RED PAC raises money to assist Republican Candidates in General Elections (No activity in Primary Races) to help ALL Republicans get elected, as well as Conservative Leaders in locally elected municipal and school board races,” the website also notes.

Rep. Nate Schatzline (R-Fort Worth), Rep. Brian Harrison (R-Midlothian), Sen. Tan Parker (R-Flower Mound), and Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn attended the fundraiser.

Schatzline talked about the importance of getting involved as Christians and how political battles can also be spiritual in nature.

“There’s never been a day when we not just needed strong, bold conservative leadership but we needed shepherds at the pulpit to speak up and have a backbone,” Schatzline said.

“Now is the time for pastors to speak up,” he added.

Harrison and Parker also spoke, stressing the importance of defeating Democrats this upcoming November.

Waybourn talked about his work in the sheriff’s office and was the last to speak, taking the place of Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who was unable to attend the event.

Other elected officials present included Tarrant County District Clerk Tom Wilder, Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Trustee Tammy Nakamura, Rep. David Cook (R-Mansfield), and Carroll ISD Trustee Andrew Yeager, among others.
