Activist Robby Starbuck is sounding the farm bell on John Deere going “woke.”

“To put it mildly, John Deere seems to have forgotten who their customers are. Having a farm myself, I’m disgusted that a once great American brand is now taking this turn to seemingly embrace leftist policies that are diametrically opposed to the values of most farmers,” posted Starbuck on X.

“What’s unknown is whether CEO John May is knowingly forcing these policies or if it’s gotten out of control and he’s out of the loop on how bad it is. His response to this story will be very revealing as to his culpability in the implementation of woke policies,” Starbuck added.

In his post, Starbucks highlighted examples of John Deere’s leftist push, such as funding a pride event for kids as young as 3, conducting “Genderbread man” training, and asking employees to list their “preferred pronouns” on all communications.

John Deere’s “Newsroom Home Page” features articles like “Accounting & Finance organization promotes inclusive hiring practices.”

The article states that the “Accounting & Finance leaders also piloted the United Way’s ‘United for Equity’ program — a 21-day challenge. The team used the program’s structure to keep the DEI conversation moving.”

The article further states, “Shane Edwards, regional group controller for North America, leads the DEI conversations. His monthly meetings typically have more than 500 employee participants.”

Starbuck maintains that he is trying to enlighten consumers so they can make informed decisions about where they spend their money.

“My goal with this reporting is never destruction. My goal is to inform consumers about the values major companies are adopting so they can make choices about what they’re willing to support,” posted Starbuck on X.

“When we use our voices and wallets to vote our values, we can change the world and we can restore great American companies to a culture of sanity, meritocracy and culture war neutrality OR we can inspire competitors to step up to the plate to fight for our business,” he added.

But John Deere states that its goal is to inspire people to be more open-minded and accepting of others.

“We’re hoping that we can be a voice that encourages people to really think about something from a different perspective and then hopefully have the conversations, raise awareness, and, if it all goes well, change behaviors,” stated John Deere on its website.

John Deere is one of several companies whose leftist policies have recently been brought to light. As previously reported by The Dallas Express, internal documents from 24-Hour Fitness obtained by DX showed that the employee dress code policy allowed pride and Black Lives Matter attire at any time; however, U.S. flags and logos were only allowed for certain holidays.

The Dallas Express reached out to John Deere but did not receive a response.
