Copa America 2024 starts on Thursday night with a match between defending champion Argentina and Canada at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia,
First established in 1916, Copa America is known for being the oldest international soccer tournament in world history. The tournament will be held in the United States this year, which is only the second time the country has hosted the event.
Multiple sports venues across the country will be hosting matches, including in Arlington, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; Austin, Texas; Charlotte, North Carolina; East Rutherford, New Jersey; Houston, Texas; Inglewood, California; Santa Clara; California; Glendale, Arizona; Paradise, Nevada; Kansas City, Missouri; Kansas City, Kansas; Miami Gardens, Florida; and Orlando, Florida.

“The opening ceremony before the match will feature Nine-time Latin GRAMMY nominee, Feid.
“Argentina is looking to become the first nation since Spain to win three consecutive major tournaments in a row after winning the last Copa America in 2021, followed by the 2022 World Cup. Spain is the only nation to have ever accomplished the feat: winning the European Championship in 2008 and 2012 around the 2010 World Cup.
