At Wednesday’s Dallas City Council meeting, council members authorized $405,263,904 in taxpayer spending.

With an approved budget of roughly $4.6 billion this fiscal year, the biggest in Dallas history, City staff provided council members with a list of itemized expenditures for approval. The list included lawsuit settlements stemming from car accidents involving public employees operating City-owned vehicles, which cost taxpayers about $740,000.
