Are you curious whether a wanted murderer might be lurking around your neighborhood?

The latest installment of The Dallas Express‘ Most Wanted focuses on suspects wanted for murder in Dallas.

This year, the Dallas Police Department posted several wanted posters on social media as part of the nationwide #WantedWednesday initiative. Earlier this month, DX focused on five of these offenders — 50% of those highlighted by DPD between March 13 and May 22 — wanted for assault.

Now, we are turning our attention to suspected murderers.

Here is a rundown of each alleged perpetrator and their offenses.

Marco Antonio Martinez, 43, is accused of killing 46-year-old Renne Gonzalez in the 800 block of Wayne Street (District 2) on November 12, 2023.

DPD has already arrested 48-year-old Luis Munoz in connection to the murder in January. He remains in custody at the Dallas County jail on a $1 million bond.

Adrion Dee Brown, 22, is wanted on both murder and aggravated assault with deadly weapon charges stemming from an incident at around 3 a.m. on October 14, 2023, in the 4500 block of Village Fair Drive (District 4).

The murder victim, 38-year-old Quentin Gellington, a father of two, had intervened when Brown and other suspects were allegedly attempting to rob a person at gunpoint, as covered previously in The Dallas Express.

“Those suspects turned, and they shot Quentin. Quentin was in the street. Quentin was [run] over by an unidentified vehicle,” DPD detective Jelisa Reed told Fox 4 KDFW at the time. “He was doing a good act, and he was killed.”

An unidentified 31-year-old woman was also wounded during the incident but survived.

Paul Kirk

Paul Kirk, 27, is wanted in connection to a murder in the 400 block of Hart Street (District 4) on August 11, 2023. He also faces a tampering with evidence charge.

Another suspect, 27-year-old Quinton Darden, was initially arrested and charged with killing 27-year-old Fabian Sewell, but the case was eventually no-billed by Dallas County authorities.

Justin Greer

Justin Greer, 29, has been identified as a suspect in a fatal shooting occurring on March 24, 2023. The incident happened in the 6900 block of Marvin D. Love Freeway Service Road (District 3) at around 1 p.m. The victim was an unidentified male.

Alberto Diaz

Alberto Diaz, 44, is wanted in connection to a homicide occurring on September 21, 2008. The victim was Juan Antonio Gonzales, but no further information about this incident has been released.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of a suspect appearing on the DPD Wanted List is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 214-373-TIPS (8477). These individuals may be dangerous and should not be approached or confronted.

Apart from the case involving Diaz, all of the homicide offenses date from last year. Murders jumped by 15.4%, with 247 logged in 2023 compared to 214 in 2022, according to data from the City’s crime analytics dashboard.

Dallas has logged 90 criminal homicides year to date as of June 5. However, Dallas’ minorities continue to overwhelmingly figure amongst murder victims and violent crime victims as a whole, as The Dallas Express has continued to cover.

While the Dallas Police Department grapples with resource issues, the Dallas City Council approved a DPD budget of just $654 million this fiscal year, significantly less than the sums spent on law enforcement in other high-crime cities across the country. Meanwhile, the discrepancy between DPD’s current force of 3,000 officers and the recommended 4,000 officers is pronounced.

Don’t live in Dallas? Don’t worry. In this new series, The Dallas Express will cover the most wanted offenders all across North Texas.
