The giant European retailer H&M has opened its first home furnishing-focused location in the Lone Star State at the Galleria Dallas.

H&M, known for its chain of fast-fashion stores around the world, launched an H&M Home location in Dallas on May 23. The stores focus on interior design and decor, a concept the Sweden-based company first trialed in 2009. The Galleria Dallas H&M Home is only the 10th such store to open in the country and the first in the Southwest.

The home-goods store covers 7,500 square feet and neighbors the existing H&M clothing store, which is nearly triple the size of its home-focused peer and has been a staple at the mall since 2012. Shoppers will find prices comparable with those at its clothing locations.

In other words, expect competitive prices on items like linens, towels, and duvets, akin to what consumers have come to expect from H&M.

“H&M at Galleria Dallas is a very strong store for us in the Texas market, and we were thrilled at the opportunity to expand the space with H&M Home,” an H&M spokesperson said, per The Dallas Morning News.

Megan Townsend, director of marketing for Galleria Dallas, called the newly formed mega-H&M “a great one-stop shopping destination for the whole family as it includes clothing and accessories for women, men, as well as kids,” reported Dallas Business Journal.

While it will not be the only home interior-focused store in the mall, which already houses Banana Republic Home and BR Home, owned by Gap Inc., Galleria Dallas’ general manager, Angie Freed, said H&M Home will give shoppers a wider range of options when visiting.

“It fills a void for home goods,” said Freed.

The H&M parent company operates numerous brands, including Monki, Weekday, and Afound. Globally, the retailer employs over 140,000 people.
