The Dallas Stars and Mavericks are both seeing success in the Western Conference, forcing local events to be rescheduled.

Melanie Martinez is the fourth artist to have a show rescheduled at the American Airlines Center. Her Trilogy Tour was initially scheduled for Saturday, May 25, but it has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 22, per American Airlines Center.

“Due to both Dallas teams advancing in the playoffs, we have to move the date to ensure we can still play Dallas,” Martinez shared on social media. “We’re doing our very best to work around the NBA and NHL playoffs as needed.” Martinez assured fans that tickets purchased for the original show will be accepted for the rescheduled show.

This is the first time that the Stars and the Mavericks have made it to their respective Western Conference Finals simultaneously, which has shifted the arena’s event schedule several times in the last couple of weeks. Bad Bunny, Nikki Minaj, and Pepe Aguilar all had their shows rescheduled due to the teams’ playoff successes, per WFAA. American Airlines Center has promised ticket holders that their tickets will be honored for the rescheduled event dates for each of these shows.

Another artist, NF, faces similar concerns about rescheduling his June 1 concert. Depending on the outcome of the next stretch of NBA playoff games, the Mavericks may play the Minnesota Timberwolves in a sixth game, raising more scheduling issues for the arena, per Fox 4 KDFW.

The Stars will now play on the evening of May 25 against the Edmonton Oilers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, according to WFAA.
