Anti-Israel agitators trained students for months leading up to the recent organized protest encampments on college campuses, according to a report.
Columbia students hosted a virtual “Resistance 101” training in March with Samidoun: Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, The Wall Street Journal reported. The university twice canceled the event on campus over concerns the organizers had ties to terrorist groups, and several students were suspended for hosting the event online. One of the Samidoun organizers, Charlotte Kates, openly praised Hamas during the virtual meeting.
“There is nothing wrong with being a member of Hamas, being a leader of Hamas, being a fighter in Hamas,” Kates said, per WSJ. “These are the people that are on the front lines defending Palestine.”
Additionally, National Students for Justice in Palestine (NSJP), along with several former Black Panther members, orchestrated a “teach-in” with Columbia students on how to properly organize against Israel on campus, WSJ reported.
“We took notes from our elders, engaged in dialogue with them, and analyzed how the university responded to previous protests,” Sueda Polat, a graduate student and anti-Israel agitator, told the news outlet.
NSJP openly praised Hamas after the terror attacks against Israel on October 7 and raked millions in donations from prominent left-wing donors, as previously reported by The Dallas Express. The group advised anti-Israel encampment protesters on how to maximize their activism, which included suggesting the wearing of bandanas and avoiding police.
“If someone is arrested, don’t linger too long, or pigs will kettle the march,” the group posted on X, derisively referring to the police. “Free the comrade, or else get their name and birthdate for jail support and keep it moving.”
“No divestment, no commencement,” another post read, hinting at efforts to cancel or disrupt on-campus graduations.
Columbia closed its campus in response to the anti-Israel encampments, as previously reported by The Dallas Express. Over a dozen protesters were arrested, and the university canceled its main commencement event.
