Fresh Lucas Lovejoy graduate Gavin Moore isn’t going to have to travel far to continue his soccer career as he will soon suit up for the men’s program at Dallas Baptist University (DBU).
At 5 foot 11 inches and 165 pounds, Moore helped guide Lovejoy to a playoff appearance in his senior and last season for the Leopards, his MaxPreps profile shows.
The Allen American reported in May 2020 that Moore was part of a deep junior class that had Lucas in line to clinch a district title and a playoff berth before the COVID-19 pandemic wiped out all spring activities.
Moore capped that shortened season with all-district first-team honors, the publication reported.
He joins a DBU team that notched only two wins in a nine-game campaign in 2021.
