Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick announced on Friday that he was endorsing challengers Brent Money and Mike Olcott in their respective races for the Texas House of Representatives.
Patrick posted his endorsement of Money for House District 2 on social media, writing that Money “believes in the fight to uphold common sense Texas values that protect our faith, families, and way of life.”
“An advocate for small government, border security, and parental rights for children, Brent is fighting to maintain Texas as the greatest state in the nation. He wants to preserve our freedoms and culture for the next generation of Texans,” he continued.
Similarly, Patrick announced his endorsement of Olcott for House District 60, writing that the challenger “has a proven track record of commitment to securing the Texas border.”
“Mike is also a conservative leader, having organized activists throughout North Texas, as well as co-founded a grassroots organization which educates and motivates Republican voters. He is a strong proponent of election integrity and has recently received an endorsement from President Donald J. Trump,” he said.
Patrick announced many other endorsements for the Texas House earlier that week.
The lieutenant governor said he was endorsing Stormy Bradley for HD 72, Rep. Giovanni Capriglione (R-Southlake) for HD 98, Liz Case for HD 71, Rep. Angie Chen Button (R-Richardson) for HD 112, John Smithee (R-Amarillo) for HD 86, Rep. Ben Bumgarner (R-Flower Mound) for HD 63, Rep. Jacey Jetton (R-Richmond) for HD 26, Greg Bonnen (R-Friendswood) for HD 24, Stan Gerdes (R-Smithville) for HD 17, Steve Toth (R-The Woodlands) for HD 15, Cody Harris (R-Palestine) for HD 8, and Rep. Cole Hefner (R-Mt. Pleasant) for HD 5.
In addition to endorsing Texas House candidates, Patrick announced his endorsement for multiple county sheriff races.
The lieutenant governor said he was endorsing Sheriff Greg Capers in San Jacinto County, Sheriff Rand Henderson in Montgomery County, Sheriff Chanze Fowler in Hartley County, and challenger Jimmy Fullen in Galveston County.
Patrick also endorsed Justice John Devine for Texas Supreme Court Place 4 and Judy Rosenberger for Archer County attorney.
