The AP’s latest men’s basketball Top 25 poll has been released, and some Texas teams have dropped in the rankings.

Baylor dropped six spots to the No.15 ranking after having its five-game winning streak snapped by back-to-back losses against Kansas State and Texas, and TCU dropped out of the rankings following two losses by a combined five points during its first week as a ranked team.

Baylor’s drop was the second-biggest this week, only behind Memphis, which dropped nine spots after losses to South Florida and Tulane.

Houston (No.4) and Texas Tech (No.20) are the only other Texas schools featured among the Top 25. The Cougars beat the Red Raiders, but Texas Tech climbed five spots despite going 1-1 last week, tied with No.8 Auburn and No.16 Dayton for the most significant weekly leap.

The top two teams remain unchanged, but four teams jumped Kansas after the Jayhawks allowed 91 points against West Virginia on the road.

New Mexico made its top 25 season debut, and Colorado State rejoined the rankings after dropping out last week. Ole Miss also fell out of the poll.

The Big 12 continues to lead the country with seven Top 25 teams.
