After a foggy start, North Texans should see cloud coverage decrease this Friday afternoon, offering partly sunny skies to kick off the weekend.

The weekend weather report shows Friday’s high peaking at 57, Saturday’s high topping at 54, and Sunday boasting primarily sunny skies with a high of 60, per CBS News Texas.

The weekend lows will bring cool temperatures, as Friday is expected to dip to 38, Saturday to 33, and Sunday to 47.

Winds will remain relatively mild, between 5 and 10 mph, on Friday and Saturday and increase to 20 mph on Sunday.

The chance of weekend rain will remain low, ranging from 4% on Friday to 9% on Sunday, according to The Weather Channel. However, the likelihood will jump to 95% as we can expect to begin next week with a rainy Monday.

The air quality is currently holding at a satisfactory level, with air pollution posing little to no risk. However, the risk of flu will remain moderate over the weekend due to the low humidity, colder weather, and increased flu activity reported by the CDC.

This season also brings cedar fever, with cedar pollen levels expected to peak this month, as previously reported by The Dallas Express. Symptoms of cedar fever can include itchy eyes, runny nose, sore throat, slight fever, and malaise.
