The NFL officially released the roster for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, and seven Dallas Cowboys have been named to the NFC team.
Quarterback Dak Prescott, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, guard Zack Martin, linebacker Micah Parsons, defensive back DaRon Bland, punter Bryan Anger, and kicker Brandon Aubrey will represent the club in Orlando the week before the Super Bowl.
Prescott had a bounceback season after finishing 2022-23 with the most interceptions thrown in the NFL. He makes his third Pro Bowl as he leads the league in touchdown passes and is currently fourth in passing yards. Brock Purdy (San Francisco 49ers) and Highland Park native Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams) are the other NFC quarterbacks.
Lamb broke the franchise record for receiving yards in a single season and has been the most significant playmaker on offense with 10 touchdowns. He is joined by Philadelphia’s AJ Brown, Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans, and the Los Angeles Rams rookie Puka Nacua on the NFC roster.
Martin makes his team-leading ninth Pro Bowl and has been as steady as they come on the offensive line throughout his career. He continues to collect the accolades during the later stages of his career and has only been called for one penalty this season. He’s been selected as a starter for the Pro Bowl alongside Chris Lindstrom (Falcons) with Landon Dickerson (Eagles) serving as a reserve.
Superstar linebacker Micah Parsons makes his third Pro Bowl in three years. The pass-rusher has become an elite force with 39.5 sacks in 49 games to start his career and joins Philadelphia’s Haason Reddick and Minnesota’s Danielle Hunter at the outside linebacker position in Orlando.
Bland was thrown into the starting lineup after the season-ending injury to Trevon Diggs and seized the opportunity, setting a new NFL record for interceptions returned for touchdowns in a season. His reward is his first Pro Bowl selection alongside Chicago’s Jaylon Johnson, San Francisco’s Charvarius Ward, and Seattle’s Devon Witherspoon.
Breakout rookie kicker Brandon Aubrey has also been selected, and punter Bryan Anger will appear in his second Pro Bowl.
Dallas is one of 21 teams to have multiple players selected, while Green Bay, New England, Carolina, and Washington have no players on the initial Pro Bowl rosters. Changes can still be made based on the teams that reach the Super Bowl or injuries that prevent some from participating.
The San Francisco 49ers lead the way with nine players, while Dallas and Baltimore are tied for the second most.
The 2024 Pro Bowl Games begin with the Pro Bowl Skills Show at 6 p.m. CT on Thursday, February 1, and continue with an NFC versus AFC competition at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, February 4.
