Carrollton police have arrested two people on Friday, Oct.1, after a high-speed pursuit.
On Friday, Carrollton PD said one of its officers spotted a blue Honda Sedan that was allegedly used in a recent drive-by shooting at a residence. Police said no one was injured in the shooting.
The officer tried to pull the driver over near Interstate 35E and Crosby Road, but the driver did not stop. Carrollton police said the driver led officers on a chase that went into North Dallas and Addison before returning to Carrollton.
Officers were able to surround the driver at the intersection of Crosby and Josey Lane. Police arrested 17-year-old Giovanni Hernandez of Carrollton, and his female passenger, who they released is sixteen years old.
Carrollton police revealed that a stolen gun was found in the car but did not say if it was the same gun used in the drive-by shooting or if the two individuals arrested had any involvement with the shooting.
