Firefighters were able to quickly subdue the flames, and all staff and customers inside were safely escorted out of the building, according to NBC 5 DFW. One person commented on the department’s post on social media about the fire, explaining that her son had been inside the restaurant and that the department had responded in about one minute.

Other people expressed thanks to the department for its response, while others lamented the loss of tips for workers at the location, given that Christmas was just a couple of weeks away.

Officials are still determining the cause of this fire. The Dallas Express reached out to the Garland Fire Department for comment. However, no response was received before press time.
