The Dallas Holiday Parade, an annual tradition in the city since 1988, is back in all its glory this year, bringing pomp, pageantry, and holiday splendor to the downtown area on Saturday.
The parade, which is the city’s largest one-day outdoor event, kicks off at 9 a.m. at the corner of Commerce and Houston Streets. Parade participants will head eastward on Commerce, turning right onto Harwood Street and then right again onto Young Street. They will march westward on Young Street before finally dispersing at the corner of Young and Akard Street.
Parade watchers can feast their eyes on the approximately two-hour-long free event from the sidewalks along the route and are invited to bring chairs or blankets for seating. In addition, bleacher seating will be available along the route, but advance purchase tickets are required to use these seats.
Before and after the parade, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., the public can enjoy entertainment, vendors, and holiday fun at Main Street Gardens and Civic Gardens, both located along the parade route on Commerce.

Those who prefer to skip the traffic and the crowds can view the parade from the comfort of their couch, as the event will be syndicated on 350 television stations in 159 markets in North Texas and across the country.
