The Dallas Police Department has released the picture of a suspect wanted for Exploitation of Elderly, according to the DPD Beat. The authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man.

According to a post on DPD Beat, the unidentified man went to the home of an elderly woman on Arapaho Road on August 18, 2021, at about 12:30 p.m, where he dubiously obtained the sum of $13,500 from her.

Dallas Police said the elderly victim had earlier received a phone call from an unknown suspect who claimed to be working for the Bank of America. Police said the suspect convinced the victim that her bank account had been hacked and compromised.

Police said the unknown suspect told the victim to withdraw $13,500 in cash and deposit the money into another account at a different bank. When the elderly victim could not find the requested bank to deposit the money, the suspect pictured above was sent to the woman’s home to collect the money.

Dallas police only identified the victim as an elderly woman, and no further information was revealed about the victim.

Dallas PD is asking anyone with information related to the offense or anyone who could provide information that might help identify and arrest the pictured suspect to contact Detective Russell Stephens of the Financial Investigations Unit at 214-671-3454 or [email protected].
