An officer of the Dallas Police Department was arrested in Lewisville on Saturday, Sept. 18, on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. The department announced the arrest in a post on its Facebook page.
According to jail records, Senior Cpl. William Wayne McLennan, 44, of the Dallas PD, was arrested and booked into Lewisville Municipal Jail on Saturday at around 2 a.m. A judge has set McLennan’s bail at $1,500. No further details have been released about his arrest.
According to the announcement made on Facebook, the 44-year-old has been with the Dallas Police Department since 2005. The post also revealed that McLennan is assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.
Dallas PD said McLennan has been put on administrative leave pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs administrative investigation.
