North Texas weather fluctuates as freeze ends and warmth approaches.

Winter came for a visit but did not stay as the season’s first freeze is now behind us, and warmer temperatures are expected to return for the weekend.

Nature surprised everyone when the freeze arrived about three weeks ahead of schedule. The sudden drop in temperature resulted in cool, crisp mornings that will last throughout the week.

Thursday will be the final chilly day of the week, with light winds and clear skies accompanying dry, cool air, which will get us close to freezing in the morning.

Thursday morning, temperatures will dip close to freezing, but this will end the chilly weather for the rest of the week.

North Texas weather continues to fluctuate as Friday brings higher-than-normal temperatures, with the expected high in the low 70s, bringing milder temperatures for the weekend, per WFAA.

In November, it is common to experience little rainfall and a decrease in high temperatures throughout the month by approximately ten degrees. The mornings tend to be cooler, with lows in the 40s.

North Texas typically experiences its first freeze on November 22. However, the current season has proven to be atypical.

The temperatures for the weekend are expected to rise, with a high of 74 on Saturday and 78 on Sunday.

On Monday, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 80 degrees, which is 10 degrees above normal.

Temperatures are predicted to remain steady in the lower 80s until November 8, followed by a decline to the 60s by next weekend.

As we move toward the end of November, it’s important to keep in mind that the amount of daylight we experience will gradually decrease. By the last day of November, the metroplex will have lost approximately 42 minutes of daylight compared to the first day of the month.
