Many Dallasites are willing cooler weather to blow into the metroplex, unpacking their sweaters and sipping pumpkin spice lattes, hoping the temperatures will get the hint.
North Texans may not have to wait much longer as cooler weather is making an entrance this weekend.
Warmer temperatures will continue through Thursday, with dry, partly cloudy skies, but Friday comes with highs in the low 80s and a dry cold front, per CBS Texas.
Clouds give way to sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the low- to mid-70s and lows in the mid-50s. Late next week, we will see a possibility for showers and highs in the low- to mid-70s.
Not to outdo the best of Johnny Cash, but on October 14, a celestial event known as the Ring of Fire will commence.
The Ring of Fire does not block out the sun entirely, giving the appearance of a glowing ring.
Texas will be one of eight states with a view of the solar eclipse, originating in Oregon at 9:13 a.m. PDT and finishing strong in the Lone Star State at 12:03 p.m. CT, per CBS News.
In North Texas, 80% of the sun will be eclipsed. Peak times to view the Ring of Fire will be about 5 to 10 minutes before noon on Saturday.
Please avoid looking directly at the sun without proper eclipse eyewear.
Enjoy this solar experience because the Ring of Fire will not reoccur until 2046.
