High school football continues across DFW this week. Here are some intriguing matchups to watch.

Southlake Carroll (3-0) at Keller Timber Creek (2-0), 7 p.m., Thursday

Five teams in District 4-6A remain undefeated entering the weekend, but that will change when Southlake Carroll and Keller Timber Creek meet on Thursday night. Carroll has steamrolled all three of its opponents so far on the way to the No.6 ranking in the state. Meanwhile, Timber Creek will try to maintain its impressive start after winning just four games a year ago.

Frisco Wakeland (3-0) at Frisco Reedy (2-1), 7 p.m., Thursday (Ford Center at the Star)

Neither team is ranked in the state rankings, but the crosstown matchup could be pivotal in District 6-5A Division I. Wakeland leads the district with a 3-0 record as the teams reach the district portion of their schedules. Reedy, which started the season as one of the top teams in 5A, is one of several teams in the district entering the weekend with a 2-1 record and will try to separate from the pack.

Dallas St. Mark’s (3-0) at Frisco Legacy Christian (3-0), 7 p.m., Friday

This is a matchup of two of the better private school teams in the area. Legacy has yet to allow an opponent to score more than seven points, while St. Mark’s has displayed a passing game that can give defenses trouble.

Denton Guyer (2-1) at Prosper (2-1), 7 p.m., Friday

These two teams were among the top 20 in the state’s 6A rankings to begin the year but have moved in opposite directions despite identical records. Guyer has impressive wins over Rockwall-Heath and Lancaster, dropping a close matchup with defending 5A Division I state champ Aledo on a late field goal to earn a spot in the top 10 after three games.

On the other hand, Prosper survived a last-minute rally against Euless Trinity and blew out Sachse, yet fell out of the rankings after a loss to Rockwall. In a district matchup, the two will fight for second place behind McKinney (3-0).

Anna (2-0) at Celina (3-0), 7:30 p.m., Friday

This game features two of the state’s top five teams in 4A. Anna comes off its bye week as the No.2 team in the state, led by quarterback Ziondre Williams and wide receiver Ronald Bell. Celina features one of 4A’s best rushing tandems in Harrison Williams and Logan Gutierrez and enters the game ranked fifth after surviving a scare from Prosper Walnut Grove.

Lake Highlands (2-1) at Jesuit (2-1), 7:30 p.m, Friday

Lake Highlands returns to the field on Friday a week after pulling off the upset against Highland Park in a lightning-filled game that had to be finished on Saturday afternoon. Lake Highlands running back Deonte Dean leads all Dallas area 6A players with 800 rushing yards this season, and Jesuit will have to keep him from getting into the open field.

Meanwhile, Jesuit’s Charlie Peters leads the local 6A teams in passing through the season’s first three games. The winner of this one moves to 2-0 in District 7-6A and takes over first place.

Melissa (3-0) at Crandall (2-1), 7:30 p.m., Friday

Melissa, the No.1 team in 5A-Division II, opens district play against an upset-minded Crandall team this weekend. Melissa has won each game it has played so far by at least 30 points behind a balanced offense led by quarterback Trever Ham. Crandall was blown out in its season opener against Forney but has recovered to win two in a row.
