Jason Wilson has taken the reins of the Allen Eagles baseball team after six years at the helm at Lovejoy.

Wilson expressed his gratitude for his new position in a Tweet on July 6.

“Thank you Kim Garner and Allen ISD for this tremendous opportunity,” Allen’s new skipper posted. “I am so excited to build upon the outstanding baseball program established by Coach Coe! Looking forward to meeting all the players and families! Let’s get to work!”

Wilson, who also coached at Frisco Centennial, succeeds former Eagles coach Paul Coe.

Though Coe vacated the position he had held since 2010, he remains Allen ISD’s middle school athletics coordinator.

Allen is fresh from a playoff appearance that was cut short by a sweep at the hands of Flower Mound Marcus.
