The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Seattle Seahawks 22-14 Saturday night.
The Cowboys dropped to 0-2 in the preseason as they continued to evaluate players for their final 53-man roster.
Quarterback Dak Prescott did not play. He watched from the sidelines as Cooper Rush and Will Grier took all the snaps.
Rush, solidifying his role as Prescott’s backup, was 9 of 14 for 96 yards. He threw a 6-yard TD pass to running back Rico Dowdle.
Grier was 13 of 18 for 136 yards. He was intercepted at the goal line in the fourth quarter and took a 20-yard sack late in the last two minutes.

WHAT TO KNOW
— Rookie linebacker DeMarvion Overshown might have torn his ACL. The third-round pick from the University of Texas will undergo more testing to confirm the diagnosis, DallasCowboys.com reported. Overshown was injured in the first quarter as he tackled Seahawks rookie running back Zach Charbonnet.
— Rookie tight end John Stephens and safety Sheldrick Redwine also left the game with injuries. Stephens hurt his knee, and Redwine suffered a hamstring injury, the Cowboys said.

— Dowdle finished with eight rushes for 38 yards. Deuce Vaughn showed explosiveness, breaking away for a 14-yard TD run.
— Wide receiver Jalen Tolbert likely cemented his spot on the roster with four receptions for 66 yards.
— Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith was 5 of 6 for 46 yards in limited action.
— Former Oregon State receiver Tyjon Lindsey had three catches for 36 yards. He also had a 27-yard punt return for the Seahawks.

— Rush on his scoring drive: “Up front, we were running it really well. We were staying in third-and-manageable. Those guys were getting downhill. The backs were hitting it.”
— Grier on the interception and his overall performance: “When I threw the ball, I thought it was a touchdown, to be honest. Just weren’t on the same page with the receiver. I thought I played great.”
— Seahawks coach Pete Carroll after the game: “Really pleased with the overall feeling of the game from start to finish. We got the [starters] a little bit of work, you know, selective [starters] played on both sides of the ball and got enough to just get them out there.”
