Five Dallas-Fort Worth hotels have been identified as popular favorites in a recent worldwide survey.

Travel + Leisure (T+L) highlighted five world-class hotels in DFW as part of its annual World’s Best Awards.

In total, nearly 165,000 survey participants were asked to weigh in with their choice of top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. In each case, readers were asked to judge their travel experience based on five criteria: rooms/facilities, location, guest service, food, and overall value.

The opulent 142-room Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek took the No.1 spot on this year’s DFW list, up from the third-place ranking in 2022. The luxury manor sits on 4.63 acres of prime Dallas real estate and has been a go-to for many high-profile individuals over its more than 100-year history.

“Voters loved the Mansion Restaurant for its elegant setting and French-inflected American cuisine, while the pool was a highlight for the resort-y vibe it adds to the property, despite being located just minutes from Downtown Dallas,” according to T+L.

The Ashton in Fort Worth was named the No.2 hotel in this year’s survey. The Ashton is a historic boutique hotel located at the epicenter of Fort Worth’s vibrant entertainment and shopping culture.

The Ritz-Carlton ranked No.3 on T+L’s list. Located in downtown Dallas on McKinney Avenue, the lavish hotel offers a “sophisticated retreat with its combination of refined elegance, iconic views, tranquil spa and wellness facilities, and renowned dining experiences, that epitomizes the best of Texas hospitality,” according to the hotel’s website.

“The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas puts hotel guests near the city’s top attractions, including American Airlines Center, the Cotton Bowl Stadium, and the House of Blues Dallas,” the hotel’s website notes. “And the vintage McKinney Avenue trolley stops in front of the hotel, carrying visitors to nearby shopping, restaurants, and attractions throughout Uptown Dallas.”

Hotel Drover, Autograph Collection came in at No.4. The luxury Fort Worth hotel is located in the heart of the city’s historic Stockyards. The hotel features a carefully curated collection of restaurants, entertainment venues, retail heritage brands, and creative workplaces.

Rounding out the last spot on the list is The Joule, a luxury boutique hotel located in the heart of downtown Dallas. In a thriving urban setting, the Neo-gothic hotel is an oasis for design lovers, art admirers, and appreciators of the uncommon,” the hotel website said.

“Between the world-class museums, award-winning dining, and glamorous shopping, you’ll also find a bar-none hotel scene that pairs all that intrigue with just the right amount of good old-fashioned Texas twang — a winning mash-up that keeps Travel + Leisure readers coming back again and again,” T+L said in the report.
