Four-star cornerback Austin Jordan will be headed down the road to Austin, Texas in 2022.
The Denton Ryan recruit’s commitment to Texas comes after a 5A Division I state championship back in January.
The Jaguars went a stunning 15-0 last season, beating Cedar Park 59-14 in the championship game. They will be returning as the 25th ranked team nationally according to Max Preps.
Jordan is a 6’0, 190 lbs., versatile back that has played some snaps as a wide out and is expected to play some safety during his senior campaign. He is ranked 196th nationally as a recruit and 10th at the safety position on 247 sports.
He will be joining a loaded class for the Longhorns, one ranked fifth overall and first in the Big 12. Jordan is also the fourth commit from the Dallas-Fort Worth area after Armani Winfield (Lewisville), Cole Hutson (Frisco), and Trevell Johnson (Arlington-Martin).
Jordan had 22 schools send offers to him. His list was reduced to Texas, Ohio State, and Oklahoma before he made his decision.
