Broadway Dallas revealed its 2023-2024 season lineup, which is packed with fan favorites and brand-new premieres.

“We’re thrilled to announce such a fantastic season, with four shows premiering at the Music Hall [at Fair Park] for the very first time and several crowd pleasers making their return. This season has something for everyone,” said Broadway Dallas President and CEO Ken Novice, according to Focus Daily News.

Single ticket prices vary, but season ticket packages are available.

Here are some of this season’s highlights:

MJ

The new season’s string of performances kicks off in November with Broadway Dallas’ production of the much-acclaimed musical MJ.

Inspired by iconic singer Michael Jackson’s 1992 Dangerous World Tour, the musical created by Christopher Wheeldon and Lynn Nottage has been a massive hit among critics and spectators alike since it premiered on Broadway in New York in February 2022.

The production, a fictionalized take on Jackson’s 1992 tour, features over 25 of the pop legend’s top hits and has received four Tony Awards.

MJ can be seen from November 21 to December 3.

Les Misérables

The epic musical Les Misérables is a must-see performance for any fan of musical theater. Set in 19th-century France, tried-and-true themes of love, sacrifice, and perseverance are punctuated in the celebrated literary masterpiece adapted by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg.

Finish out 2023 with an awe-inspiring performance of Les Misérables from December 20 to 31.

Tina

Another musical biopic appearing in Dallas Broadway’s lineup this season is Tina: The Tina Turner Musical. The show featuring the meteoric rise of pop music icon Tina Turner has been inspiring audiences around the globe since its first showcase in 2018.

Tina’s top hits appear in the production written by Katori Hall and directed by Phyllida Lloyd.

Beetlejuice the Musical

Those looking for an irreverent way to experience musical theater need to look no further than Beetlejuice the Musical.

Adapting the immensely popular oddball film by Tim Burton, playwrights Anthony King and Scott Brown and lyricist Eddie Perfect found a new way to spook audiences across the country.

The hilarious performance featuring everyone’s favorite raunchy ghost returns on February 30, 2024, and will run until March 3.

Hamilton

In collaboration with the AT&T Performing Arts Center, Broadway Dallas will present the popular musical Hamilton at the Winspear Opera House from May 8 to June 9, 2024. Written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the life and work of one of America’s forefathers is told through a catchy musical mix of hip-hop and rap.

The multi-award-winning production is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.
