The Dallas Police Department arrested multiple teenagers and one adult on Wednesday in connection with a string of aggravated robberies that took place throughout May.

DPD announced the arrests in a news release.

The Fugitive Unit and the Northwest and North Central Crime Response Teams executed search and arrest warrants on four teens and one adult on May 31.

Officials did not release the minors’ names due to their ages but identified 24-year-old Laquavious McMath as the adult.

According to the release, the minors — one 15-year-old male and three 16-year-old males — were charged with robbery offenses. McMath was arrested on a warrant and charged with an unrelated weapons violation.

More up-to-date information is currently unavailable, allegedly due to a ransomware attack on City computer servers, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

The Dallas Police Department currently has about 3,100 officers, but according to the Dallas Observer, Dallas Police Association President Mike Mata said in January that the City was at least “400–500 officers short.”
