The Dallas Express traveled to the luxurious apartment building and investigated the scene. However, the debris from the vehicles had already been removed.

However, one resident discussed what had happened and voiced her concern about vehicles being broken into.

“I woke up Sunday morning to a phone call from one of my friends who is also a resident here at The Gabriella, and she said, ‘Hey, go check your car. I just heard from so and so that there’s been a bunch of break-ins,’” said Jessica Longoria to The Dallas Express.

Longoria said that, at that time, she thought only six cars had been broken into.

“As the day went on, I was traveling out of the garage and I saw glass everywhere, on the third floor, and [in] both the resident parking and the guest parking,” said Longoria.

She said there were about 15 cars in total that were broken into.

Longoria explained that while she is grateful that her car was not among the ones targeted, she is still shaken up by what happened.

When asked if she felt safe living at The Gabriella due to the recent break-ins, Longoria simply said, “No.”

It remains to be seen if the apartment’s management will provide any additional security measures.

The Dallas Express reached out to property management at The Gabriella and to the Dallas Police Department for additional information or comment, but none was received by the time of publication.
