Two teenagers have been arrested and charged in the Alabama shooting that killed four people at a Sweet 16 birthday party.

A 16-year-old and 17-year-old were charged with four counts of reckless murder in Dadeville, Alabama, a town of about 3,200 about an hour northeast of Montgomery, the district attorney’s office said.

Sgt. Jeremy Burkett of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said more arrests were expected.

District Attorney Mike Segrest said the pair would be tried as adults.

Philstavious Dowdell, 18, Shaunkivia Nicole “Keke” Smith, 17, Marsiah Emmanuel “Siah” Collins, 19, and Corbin Dahmontrey Holston, 23, were killed in the shooting.

Another 32 people were injured. Four remain hospitalized in critical condition, Segrest said.

“We’re going to make sure all those victims have justice, not just the deceased,” Segrest said at a Wednesday morning news conference.
