Soccer star Bella Curiel has signed to attend Seminole State College in Florida.
“Seminole State College Women’s Soccer welcome Bella Curial to the Trojan family,” the school posted on its Twitter page.
Curiel comes with plenty of pedigree, having led the Lady Indians to their furthest playoff run in school history since the program joined the ranks of 6A play last season. The senior midfielder earned first-team all-district honors in leading Waxahachie to a 19-4-3 finish where they advanced to the 6A Region 11 quarterfinals.
A team captain and four-year team starter, Curiel ranks No. 8 all-time in assists at Waxahachie High School (WHS), capping her senior season with 17 goals and 14 assists.
As a junior, Curiel was also tabbed as a second-team selection on the inaugural Daily Light Media Group All-Ellis County girls’ soccer team.
