Teams involved with the latest installment of the XFL have established their roster, and the season will begin on Saturday.
This is the third edition of the XFL, which began in 2001 and was known for its unique rules and violent playing style.
The league quickly folded after one season but returned briefly in 2020 before shutting down and filing bankruptcy.
Now, a new ownership group — led by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson — has revived the league once again with eight teams based in Arlington, Las Vegas, Houston, Orlando, D.C., San Antonio, Seattle, and St. Louis.
