Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has partnered with a local developer on a luxury residential high-rise project planned for the Oak Lawn area of Dallas.
The luxury hotel and resort company will work together with Dallas-based developer One Turtle Creek to build a planned 17-story high-rise condominium called Rosewood Residences Turtle Creek, according to a recent press release from the company.
The Rosewood Residences will be located on Dickason Avenue in the Turtle Creek Corridor of Dallas and is set to include 46 luxury condominiums ranging from roughly 2,000 to 6,380 square feet.
The planned project marks the company’s fifth standalone residential development and pays tribute to the brand’s birthplace.
Founded in Dallas by the Hunt family during the late 1970s, Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has grown into an international brand with 30 luxury hotels and resorts across 16 countries. The company’s first project was Dallas’ landmark Rosewood Mansion, which opened in 1981.
Brad Berry, vice president of global residential development at Hong Kong-based Rosewood Hotel Group — the parent company of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, told the Dallas Morning News that it feels like Rosewood is coming full circle with its return to Dallas.
“Planting the Rosewood Residences flag in the same neighborhood as our very first hotel is a great moment for us as we continue to grow our footprint,” Berry said in the press release.
Rosewood now has luxury hotels located in California, New York, Paris, Hong Kong, São Paulo, London, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Canada, among others, the company’s website shows.
When the Rosewood Residences opens in 2025, the 17-story high-rise will include an exclusive rooftop pool and lounge, a landscaped garden, a fitness center, a library, private dining room spaces, a first-floor lounge, a full-time concierge and valet, as well as pet-friendly offerings like a dedicated dog park, pet spa, and garden, according to the news statement.
Rosewood contracted renowned architect Lucien Lagrange to design the exterior of the tower, with interior design work being handled by AD100 interior designer Dan Fink.
Bringing timeless architecture together with exceptional service in the upscale residential neighborhood of Turtle Creek hasn’t been done before in Dallas, so “it adds another level of excitement,” said Preston Cheng of One Turtle Creek in the news statement.
Rosewood says it will begin listing its condominiums in 2023.
Commercial real estate projects in Dallas — like the planned Turtle Creek residential tower — can often get stuck at the City’s building permit department. This typically happens during the design phase of many projects, as previously reported by The Dallas Express. In many cases, these holdups can cause construction costs to balloon past the planned budget.
