An argument inside a convenience store in Northeast Dallas turned deadly, according to police.
Officers were called to the Cool Zone on Emerald Street, just off Royal Lane, on Friday in Dallas City Council’s District 6 just after midnight.
When Dallas police arrived on the scene, officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
An investigation revealed the two victims had engaged in a verbal altercation with a third person inside the store. The argument moved outside and turned violent as the third person pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots at the victims, according to police.
The suspect then fled on foot.
Both gunshot victims were taken to a nearby hospital. One of the victims died at the hospital, and the other was in critical condition.
Police have not arrested anyone, nor have they released any information about the suspect or victims. The third person is presumed to be the suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
