Luka Doncic put on a performance for the ages on Tuesday night, with 60 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists in the Dallas Mavericks’ come-from-behind 126-121 overtime win over the New York Knicks.

No player in NBA history had ever put up at least 60 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists in a game.

Hall of Famers Wilt Chamberlain (twice) and Elgin Baylor are the only players to grab at least 20 rebounds during a 50-point triple-double in the history of the NBA.

Doncic is only the second player to score 60 points in a triple-double, matching James Harden’s 60 for the Houston Rockets in a January 30, 2018, win over the Orlando Magic.

It was also the first 60-point game in Mavericks history, surpassing a 53-point game by Dirk Nowitzki in 2004.

The Slovenian superstar was 21-of-31 from the floor and 16-of-22 from the free-throw line. He scored 38 points after halftime as the Mavericks rallied from a deficit that was as large as 12 points.

Overall, he scored or assisted on 85 of the Mavericks’ 126 points (67%) — the most points he generated in any game of his career, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

To top it off, Doncic hit a jump shot with one second remaining after intentionally missing a free throw to send the game into overtime and scored seven of the Mavericks’ 11 points in the extra period.

His 18 fourth-quarter points powered a Dallas rally as the Mavericks became the first of 13,885 NBA teams over at least the last 20 years to win after trailing by more than nine points in the last 35 seconds of a game.

Basketball Reference gave Doncic’s performance a “game score” of 56.3, the best in the league since Harden’s 60-point triple-double and the fifth-best of the three-point era.

The historic performance earned Doncic a dousing from teammates armed with dozens of water bottles as he entered the locker room after the victory.

It also drew reactions from NBA personalities and more across the nation. Some of their reactions are featured below:
