A Frisco woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place at a local dog park, according to a press release.

Regan Richey, 25, of Frisco, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, second-degree felonies punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

Multiple police units responded to calls about gunshots being fired at a dog park located at the 5300 block of 4th Army Drive.

Police said two subjects who had previously been dating got into an argument Sunday morning over a shared dog.

Witnesses told police that one of the involved individuals and a family member retrieved the dog from the park. Richey then allegedly began shooting at the individuals and their vehicle, but no one was hit by the gunfire.

Some of the rounds, however, did hit nearby property and vehicles, causing damage.

Richey’s bond was set at $50,000 for each count ($100,000 total), and she was booked and transported to the Denton County jail.

Frisco Police request that anyone with information regarding this offense contact the Frisco Police Department at 972-292-6010.

They can also send an anonymous tip by texting FRISCOPD and the information to 847411 (TIP411) or downloading the Frisco PD app available on Android and iOS devices.
