If there is one thing that most men and women do not want is a uni-brow. To get perfectly sculpted eyebrows, people have been resorting to the ancient torture of waxing or tweezing. But what is best for you?

Experts say that waxing is less painful and a more efficient way to sculpt eyebrows by removing unwanted hair in one quick pull of the wax. If your hair is coarser or you have bushy eyebrows, waxing is the best way to go.

If you opt to self-wax, take precautions to ensure the wax is not too hot. You will need to warm the wax until it is nearly in liquid form. Once you apply the wax, use a wax remover cloth to remove it. However, if you use hard wax, it can be removed by simply pulling it off once it has dried.

Licensed estheticians and cosmetologists offer eyebrow waxing in addition to arm, legs, back, bikini, and Brazilian waxes. Waxing prices vary depending on the body area to be waxed.

If you are not a fan of waxing, or the idea of hot wax on your face just does not appeal to you, eyebrow tweezing or plucking is an option. While professionals also offer eyebrow tweezing, most people choose to tweeze at home.

A few tips to avoid uneven and jagged brows are to stand two to three feet from the mirror and then walk toward it. As you watch your eyebrows get closer to the mirror, it will become evident which hairs need to be plucked. Secondly, make sure that you have proper bathroom lighting. Finally, always tweeze at the end of the day when you are not rushed.

If you want to learn more about the life of estheticians, you may want to consider becoming a licensed esthetician or cosmetologist. The Ogle School in the Dallas area has a long history of graduating some of Dallas’ best and brightest beauty industry professionals.

But if you just need a professional to take your eyebrows from the jungle to picture-perfect brows, Dallas has numerous salons to fit your needs.
