A SWAT standoff in Dallas led to the apprehension of six individuals on January 22.

According to NBC 5 News, Dallas Police say they performed a vehicle check on a red Dodge Ram pickup truck just after 7 p.m. The check was performed at the intersection of North Marsalis Avenue and East 8th Street.

According to police, officers determined the vehicle was stolen and attempted a traffic stop.

Police said the driver of the pickup truck refused to stop. The DPD’s helicopter, Air One, then chased after the vehicle and updated officers of its location.

Per NBC 5 News, Air One followed the pickup truck for 22 minutes.

Police say the pickup truck suffered a malfunction and stopped working in the 2700 block of Alaska Avenue. The two suspects in the car entered a home on the avenue and barricaded themselves inside.

SWAT was called to the scene, and after a few hours, the team entered the residence with flashbangs. They found six individuals, including the two people from the stolen pickup truck.

No injuries were reported in the incident, and all six individuals were taken into custody.
