Two North Texas residents recently won big in the Texas Lottery.

One person is a Dallas resident who won $1 million playing the scratch-off ticket game “Money.” The other person is a Balch Springs resident; they claimed a Powerball second-tier prize of $1 million from the June 27 drawing.

The winning scratch ticket was purchased at a Beer & Wine Stop at 1417 N. Duncanville Road. The winning Quick Pick ticket that matched all five white-ball numbers drawn (11-13-18-30-37) but not the red Powerball number (16) was purchased at Elam Food Mart, located at 12300 Elam Road, in Balch Springs.

The Texas Lottery’s scratch game named “Money” offers prizes totaling over $122.9 million; the overall odds of winning are one in 3.44. The odds include break-even prizes. Four top prizes worth $1 million each are also in the game.

Both new millionaires asked to be kept anonymous.
