Desoto, Dallas, and Grand Prairie Police have joined together to search for a missing Desoto woman at Mountain Creek Lake.

25-year-old Yi Chan was last seen between midnight and 1 a.m. on February 6, in her home at the 500 block of Olympia Street in Desoto.

Her blue Nissan Sedan was found with the keys inside the vehicle on Mountain Creek Parkway. The car was near a body of water.

The Desoto Police were then alerted right after 8:30 a.m.

Chan’s family is worried about her safety, expressing the woman had left the residence in a depressed state.

DeSoto Police are utilized members of their criminal investigation division, their UAS Drone Team, and regional drone operators to help search.

The Grand Prairie Police Department’s Lake Operations and Dallas Fire-Rescue were dispatched to the lake, and multiple K-9 units were deployed to patrol the shoreline.

An investigation is ongoing as authorities try to organize a timeline of where Chan’s possible whereabouts.

Anyone suffering from mental health issues, including self-harm, is encouraged by the police to seek assistance. You can contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, which provides free and confidential assistance for people in distress.
