A pedestrian is dead, and police are searching for a vehicle after a hit and run on Friday night.

Around 9:30 p.m. on July 8, the suspect was traveling in a vehicle northbound in the 13400 block of Esperanza Drive in Dallas. The vehicle struck a pedestrian, Dallas Police Department stated, resulting in their death.

Detectives with the Vehicle Crimes Unit are investigating the incident and need the public’s assistance in locating the suspect.
